Gratitude and Appreciation

How true these words are. Our busy lives do not “start over” with the simple turn of a page on the calendar. But this time of year certainly encourages reflection, and I find myself immensely grateful for the experiences of 2024 and excited about what lies ahead in 2025.
This year, IBW’s strategic planning and organizational development work with for-purpose organizations – those dedicated to doing good and making the world a better, fairer place for everyone – has been broad and deep.
We have partnered with more than 20 nonprofit agencies, associations, collaboratives, government entities, foundations and businesses – both large and small, serving in a wide variety of sectors including health, mental health, public health, healthcare research, education, faith, social services, transportation, recreation, construction and municipal government.
We have guided one organization through its very first planning process and celebrated our 10th year of partnership in assessment and planning with another. We have helped train and develop leaders among staff and Boards, building and nurturing cultures of high-performance and excellence while enhancing individual team member satisfaction.
We are proud and honored to have engaged nearly 4,500 stakeholders -- Board members, staff, volunteers, donors, funders, community partners, consumers, clients and citizens – who are committed to making meaningful impact in the lives of everyday people.
From New York to Arizona, from Washington DC to Chicago, and of course, right here at home in KC, we have supported organizations in aligning their mission, vision, and values with the people, culture and operations critical to achieving desired results.
Next year is shaping up to be even busier – launching projects with new clients and deepening relationships with existing partners. While no one can predict the future, I do know all of us at IBW look forward to continuing to invest our knowledge and skills to help organizations like yours find future opportunities and develop the strategy and organizational culture to make it all happen.
